30 Days of Dipes – SoftBums Omni
Welcome to day seven of 30 Days of Dipes! Today is sponsored by SoftBums. I will be reviewing and giving away a SoftBums Omni Solo Pack with Dry Touch Pod. Make sure you also check out Erin from The Slacker Mom‘s SoftBums review and Jen from Life With Levi‘s SoftBums review today!
The Dirty Details:
Daytime Use: 4 Bums Up!
Overnight Use: 3 Bums Up!
Ease of Use: 4 Bums Up!
Quality: 3.5 Bums Up!
Overall: 3.5 Bums Up!
Daytime Use: I gave the SoftBums Omni 4 Bums up for daytime use. It is super absorbent. It is of average trimness and looks fine under pants, although it wouldn’t be my first choice. I love that you have a choice of their dry touch pod, SUPER dry touch pod (great for heavy wetters or overnights), or bamboo pod (great if you prefer natural materials). I LOVE this color (Sprout), the bright green is amazing.
Overnight Use: I gave the SoftBums Omni 3 Bums Up for overnights solely because it used to only come in hook and loop. I would never leave my toddler in a hook and loop diaper overnight because I am sure it would come off. I do think that the SUPER dry touch pod will be plenty of absorbency for overnights for most babies. And SoftBums just released the Omni in snaps, yay!
Ease of Use: I gave the Omni 4 Bums Up for ease of use. The Slide2Size confused me at first (a variable adjustment for the leg elastics) but it is a set it and forget it thing. Once the Slide2Size is set, this is one of the easier diapers I have tried. And there are a lot of different options. You can stuff it, snap the insert in, or use it as a cover.
Quality: I gave the SoftBums Omni 3.5 Bums Up for quality. I am not a huge fan of hook and loop diapers but this hook and loop is fantastic. The laundry tabs always stay put in the washer which is a huge selling point for me. I love that the Omni is made in the USA too.
Overall: Overall, I give the SoftBums Omni a 3.5 Bums Up. It has one design feature that I don’t love, I feel like the “loop” part of the hook and loop should be placed higher. it is and aesthetic thing for sure, but I think we all know how picky I am about the look of my diapers! Because it is placed lower, it leaves about 3/4 of an inch of PUL at the top. If it wasn’t for that, I would have given the Omni a 4 Bums Up! I love how versatile it is, and how easy once you get the Slide2Size adjusted.
