The Gnome woke up around 2am and Hubby took him to the potty where he went pee. At 6:30 when he woke up, we didn’t make the same mistake we made on day 1. Hubby got him up and into the bathroom right away.

We spent most of the morning at the laundromat. Instead of standard briefs, I put EcoPosh training pants on The Gnome with sustainablebabyish underwoolies over them. He peed at the laundromat three times!

When we got home, the briefs went back on. When I thought he looked like he was going to poo, I would put him on the potty. I did have to bribe him with M&Ms, ice cubes, and Cheddar Bunnies to sit on the potty a few times.

We went back out to pick Hubby up from work and then went to my sister’s for dinner. He looked like he tried to poo a few times and we tried putting him on the potty but he just couldn’t go there (no potty seat and we were having to hold him up). He peed outside a couple of times though.

Before bed, once we were home, we tried again to get him to poo on the potty. He couldn’t (or wouldn’t go). Then literally seconds before bed he started grabbing at his bottom and ran to the bathroom door and started frantically trying to open it. We got him into the shower and he pooped in there. Not sure how I feel about poop in the shower but…

NO ACCIDENTS ALL DAY!!!

He went to bed in big boy undies too :)

Tally:
Pee accidents: 0
Poo accidents: 0
He did poo today.

when we started trying to get my son to poop on the potty, i would read him books, but he was a bit older than you little guy, so he had a longer attention span.  Before that, getting him to sit long enough to go was the problem, he wasn’t patient enough to let it happen.
